El Ven L'invern

Bringing back this beauty of a cocktail by Francesco Avagliano of Banco Milano.

Francesco created this one a while ago, but we still love it – especially on cold nights like today. The name of the cocktail derives from a Milanese saying announcing that “winter is arriving”.

At -10 degrees in Hamburg, winter is definitely here and a variation on a Negroni very welcome indeed!

El Ven L’invern
30 ml Elephant Gin
25 ml Campari
20 ml Mandarine Liquor (Isolabella)
1 barspoon Amaro Lucano

Method: Stir and strain into old-fashioned glass on the rocks.

Garnish: Lemon twist.
